Brian Zoltowski is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Southern Methodist University. On this program he talks about his interest in circadian rhythms, the natural 24-hour “clock” that governs biological processes in organisms as vast as plants, insects, and humans. Zoltowski joins us to discuss how circadian rhythms are driven by light – photochemistry – and how even with an absence of light, organisms can still work on a 24-hour system. LISTEN
