Professor Kunovich Recognized

Professor Kunovich was the recipient of two prestigious awards in 2013.

She received the Altshuler Distinguished Teaching Professor Award from SMU’s Center for Teaching Excellence(CTE). The award recognizes faculty members “for their notable commitment to and achievements in fostering student learning. These are teachers whose concerns for higher education go beyond classroom boundaries and often the boundaries of their own disciplines. In student mentoring, in discussions about teaching, and in continuous reflection about their own successes and ways to improve, they represent the highest achievement in reaching the goals of higher education.”

Professor Kunovich also received the 2013 Margareta Deschner Teaching Award from the Women and Gender Studies Program at SMU.The award is presented once every two years to an “outstanding professor on the SMU faculty whose teaching integrates knowledge concerning women into his or her field of study.”
