Reduce the stress of studying for finals!
Spend some time with a therapy dog at the library!
Wednesday December 9
Time: 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Location: Taubman Atrium @ Owen Arts Ctr
Monday, December 14
Time: 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Location: Fondren Library Center
About the Event: Two teams of therapy dogs will visit SMU; one on Wednesday December 9 from A New Leash on Life and another on Monday December 14 from Paws Across Texas. Research has shown that spending 5-24 minutes with a calm dog reduces blood pressure and the levels of stress hormones in the body**.
Students are welcome to stop by and visit with our four-legged friends as they are getting ready for finals. We are proud to partner with A New Leash on Life, Paws Across Texas, SMU Counseling and Psychiatric Services and the A-LEC (Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center) to make this event paws-sible.
