Celebrate the history and legacy of women with an exhibit tour and a lecture and book signing by author Carmen Goldthwaite.

Exhibit: Remember the Ladies: Discovering Women’s History

Exhibit Details:  The exhibit features over 100 years of the words and images of women, their families, organizations, professions, wartimes, and pastimes. Letters, diaries, scrapbooks, photographs, newspapers, and other printed and visual materials illuminate women’s roles in society and the manner in which they shaped our culture.

Lecture and Book Signing: Texas Dames: Sassy and Savvy Women throughout Lone Star History

Lecture Details: Carmen Goldthwaite writes the stories of women who’ve pioneered in many roles and along many paths in Texas history. The women featured in the book from The History Press first saw publication in her community newspaper column.

Reception in the Texana Room at 4:30pm, lecture in the Stanley Marcus Reading Room at 5:00pm
