Lecture Series

In 2001, President George W. Bush established the Office of Faith-based and Community Initiatives. He tasked it with helping the federal government coordinate a national effort to equip and expand the work of faith-based and community organizations to better meet the social needs of America’s communities. This office, now known as the Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, has continued under President Barack Obama. For the first time ever, this symposium brings all the directors of this office together on one stage. They will explore the importance of this Office as part of the 21st century presidency and public square.
