IMG_1891SMU is participating in The Trains at NorthPark, on display on the shopping center’s second level through Jan. 5, 2014.

The display is the most elaborate toy holiday train exhibit in Texas, with scale-model locomotives whizzing across America, past the Dallas skyline and SMU’s iconic Dallas Hall, then on to New York City, San Francisco, New England and Washington, D.C. Each holiday season, more than 80,000 people visit the exhibit, which supports the Ronald McDonald House of Dallas. The exhibit includes 1,600 feet of track, 24 Lionel train sets hauling more than 100 rolling cars and pieces. and more than 4,000 square feet of train-themed environments.

NorthPark is on the east side of North Central Expressway at Northwest Highway, about 1.5 miles north of SMU.
