Join the SMU community as we celebrate the third annual Founders’ Day Weekend, April 18-20, with programs and activities for all ages. The weekend kicks off Thursday with the Golden Mustangs Reunion for alumni classes from 1961 and earlier, including lunch with President R. Gerald Turner. Friday events include the Parent Leadership Council spring meeting; Picnic with the Profs, sponsored by the Faculty Senate; Inside SMU, an afternoon of informal classes with members of SMU’s esteemed faculty; President Turner’s annual President’s Briefing, recapping the University’s year and discussing future plans; and the President’s Associates Reception, hosted by Board Chair Caren H. Prothro and President Turner. The evening concludes with two entertainment options: “Sing Song,” an SMU tradition of student-produced musical theatre, as well as a concert by the Meadows Wind Ensemble. On Saturday, bring your friends and family to community day on the SMU campus. There will be activities with SMU athletes while the Meadows Museum features the spirit of Venice.
