Make plans to attend Homecoming Weekend October 25-28, featuring a range of events and activities for reconnecting with friends and celebrating the spirit of SMU.
Festivities officially begin Thursday evening with the presentation of Distinguished Alumni Awards, honoring 2012 recipients and past recipients as history makers. The event will be held on the SMU campus.
Music, dance and comedy will be on tap Friday evening at Pigskin Revue, SMU’s oldest tradition, featuring the Mustang Band. Saturday features the excitement of the Homecoming Parade, followed by the fun and celebration of Boulevarding, all leading to the Mustangs’ football game against the Memphis Tigers.
Special Centennial Reunions are slated for Saturday night. These reunions, which are being held during Homecoming celebrations throughout SMU’s centennial commemoration period, will include new events and features designed to engage alumni in SMU’s exciting future. This year’s reunions include those for undergraduate class years 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, 1997, 2002 and 2007.
The weekend also features mini-reunions for former students with common interests or shared experiences.
