Our Mission:

The Anxiety Research & Treatment Program is affiliated with the Psychology Department at Southern Methodist University. The primary objective of the program is to increase the effectiveness of interventions for anxiety and related problems. A secondary aim is to disseminate effective interventions to the general community as well as the mental health professional community.

Participation

Participating in any of our investigations involves a mutually beneficial relationship with the SMU Anxiety Research & Treatment Program. Participants will be adequately compensated for their time and efforts devoted to helping us learn more about the nature and treatment of anxiety and related problems. Depending on the study, participants may receive monetary remuneration, comprehensive diagnostic interviews and assessments at no cost, or treatment at no cost.
