Studies to do a language intensive in Marathi, met with women farmers in the village

SMU-in-Paris this fall. She traveled to Barcelona, Spain, for a weekend and

Cheyenne, in Madrid this fall with SMU-in-Spain, has been
getting to know the country and meeting the locals.

Joanna spent her summer at Tufts University learning what type of veterinarian she'd like to be.

Pragya, a junior at SMU from Kathmandu, Nepal, spent the summer in Nepal working with "Peace Ambassadors," a peace project funded by the Kathryn Wasserman Davis Fund. After a decade-long war in Nepal between Maoists and the government, the children and women, in particular, have suffered. Pragya's project provided 20 scholarships to children.

Cheyenne took this photograph of children in Soweto, South Africa, during her trip with SMU's Human Rights Program. Soweto, short for South Western Townships, was the site of mass protests by students in 1976.

Andres is a junior majoring in geology and business who is a tri-citizen of Nicaragua, Peru and Dallas. He participated in a two-week geology field studies trip this summer led by geological sciences Professor Neil Tabor to such sites as the Monahans Sandhills State Park, the Grand Canyon and Taos, N.M.
